It was finally warm enough today for me to go out and dink around with
it a little bit. I checked the nozzle and the plastic tubing at the
wiper end and all seemed well. Then, I turned the key on and tried
the pump switch again. Since I was standing outside of the vehicle
when I did this, I noticed that the sound of the pump motor seemed
extraordinarily loud, so I lifted the hood and discovered that the
fluid tank was bone dry. Thinking that maybe I was a real idiot and
that, in fact, the only fix was just filling an empty tank, I topped
it off with fresh wiper fluid. It took almost 3/4 of the gallon jug I
Alas, within seconds the whole works was dripping onto my garage
floor from underneath the vehicle. So, it would appear that either my
tank is cracked or there is a bad line somewhere. Damn!
